CROS/BICROS system hearing aid styles, meant for those with hearing in only one ear. Phonak is one of the only manufacturers that offers a CROS/BICROS hearing system designed to overcome the difficulties associated with hearing in only one ear. The system picks up sounds on the poor ear side and transfers them to the better ear. Should there be hearing loss in the better ear, the CROS/BICROS system can also amplify what is occurring on the better side.
